For each user of this Website operated by Hiire Limited (“Hiire”), Hiire’s Web Server recognises automatically internet statistics such as the user’s IP address, referrers, browser, computer settings and other similar information. For the avoidance of doubt, this information is not available to others. It cannot provide information about the user’s e-mail address, name or other sensitive information.
The Website itself uses Google Analytics to help analyse how users make use of the Website. This analytical tool uses 'cookies', which are text files placed on the user’s computer, to collect standard internet log information and user’s behaviour information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about any use of the Website (including an IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate use of the Website and to compile statistical reports on activity on the Website.
Hiire will not (and will never allow any third party) to use any statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of users of the Website. Hiire will not associate any data gathered from the Website with any personally identifying information from any source as part of Hiire’s use of the Google statistical analytics tool.
Hiire are committed to protecting the privacy of all users of the Website and to always acting lawfully in compliance with the current Data Protection Act legislation. Hiire will collect information about a user in two ways namely by asking the user to enter personal details into online forms and by using automatic technology to track the way the user moves around the Website. Hiire will use this information to process each user’s requirements accurately and efficiently and provide the user with the best service possible. Hiire will never (1) ask for more information than is necessary in order to carry out the activities described above, (2) store information for longer than is necessary to carry out the purpose for which it was collected, (3) contact the user by email or any other means without the user’s explicit consent (save that Hiire shall be entitled to contact users for the purposes of establishing whether users wish to participate in surveys or other marketing exercises pertaining to the operation by Hiire of the Website) or (4) disclose any of the user’s personal details to any third party other than those engaged in processing or storing data on Hiire’s behalf, provided always that Hiire reserves the right to co-operate with law enforcement officers and shall have no legal liability for such disclosures. Hiire will endeavour to always (1) operate an 'opt-out' policy when collecting data and therefore assume consent, (2) provide the user with full details of any data Hiire stores about the user on request and (3) protect all the user’s personal data from access by unauthorised parties. If at any time the user wishes to view the personal data Hiire have stored about them, correct any inaccuracies or if the user wants to withdraw previously given consent for any reason, please contact Hiire.
